The existing insulation on this vessel was no longer containing the heat radiation from within. Foxdon was contracted to remove and dispose of the redundant insulation and re-insulate with a mineral stone wool flexible blanket that could withstand temperatures in excess of 140ºC. The new insulation was then covered with 0.7mm stucco embossed aluminium sheeting fixed in place with pop rivets.
